About MeMy BioRichard Fyffe is Assistant Dean of Libraries for Scholarly Communication at the University of Kansas, Lawrence. He oversees collection development, digital content development, electronic licensing, and preservation, and consults with faculty on issues related to scholarly publishing and scholarly communication. Previous positions include Head of Collections Services, Humanities Bibliographer, and Curator of Literary Manuscripts at the University of Connecticut, Storrs; Director of the Library at the Essex Institute (Salem, Mass.); and rare book cataloging positions at the American Antiquarian Society (Worcester, Mass.). He is on the board of directors for BioOne and ESIG (the EPSCoR Science Information Group). He holds BA and MA degrees in Philosophy, and his MLS is from Simmons College in Boston. |
