John T. Killebrew

John is VP NCREN Community Support at MCNC in the Research Triangle Park. His responsibilities include constituent and provider relationships and business management. NCREN is an optical resilient statewide Wide Area Network linking North Carolina's Universities with each other, State Government (including public schools), and to both the Commodity Internet and Internet2. Prior to joining MCNC, John managed strategic sales resources in North and South Carolina in the promotion of BellSouth's emerging and e-business solutions. Activities included statewide data, video, and voice networking solutions. Recent projects include the NCREN3 expansion project, the Charlotte area Metro Optical Ring, the Eastern NC Broadband Initiative, and e-NC. John received his BS-Computer Information Systems from N.C. Wesleyan College in 1987.
