Dr. Catherine Kelley is Assistant Provost for Educational Technology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. The Office of Educational Technology is charged with encouraging faculty to incorporate technology in a meaningful way into teaching and learning, and has direct responsibility for ensuring the success of the Universitys innovative new initiative that every undergraduate student enroll in one online course per year.
Dr. Kelley holds a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology from the University of Waterloo, masters degrees in gerontology (University of Waterloo) and social psychology (University of Maryland), and a B.A. in psychology (Johns Hopkins University). She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Michigans Institute for Social Research. She has conducted research on improving software engineering education, predictors of success in online learning, computer interface and training design for older adults, and reliability and validity of measures of computer skill.
