About MeMy BioDr. Prochaska currently serves as Executive Director of the UNC Teaching and Learning with Technology Collaborative. Prior to entering this position in August 2001, Frank served as Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Western Carolina University in the UNC system. As Associate Vice Chancellor, Dr. Prochaska chaired the Computer Requirement Implementation Team, the task force that planned, developed policies, and implemented in Fall Semester 1998 all aspects of WCU's open-platform freshman computer admission requirement. Western Carolina University was the 40th college or university nationwide and 12th public higher education institution in the U.S. to implement a computer requirement. Frank has been a faculty member at WCU for 23 years, holding the rank of Professor of Chemistry. He performed his undergraduate work at Hunter College of the City University of New York, and received his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley. |
