My Bio
Deborah Walters is Associate Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences, and Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University at Buffalo. Her area of research centers on computation and the brain, and utilizes her academic background in
computer science, psychology and neurophysiology. The research is inspired by the brain at three levels: neural networks at the implementation level; image analysis, visualization and behavior-based systems at the functional level; and, technology and learning at the cognitive level. Over 70 articles on this research have appeared in referred journals, referred conference proceedings and invited book chapters. As an American Council of Education Fellow her research involved the use of supplimental eLearning materials and sustainable models for creating, distributing and maintaining such materials.
