About Me

My Bio

AJ Kelton is the Director of Emerging Instructional Technology for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) at Montclair State University (MSU). The CHSS is the largest academic unit at Montclair State, with almost 400 instructors, staff, and administrators each semester.


AJ’s past and present activities in EDUCAUSE include:
• being a member of the EDUCAUSE Quarterly Review Committee
• presenting both a pre-session and poster session on Distributed Technology Support
• founding and currently leading the EDUCAUSE Distributed Technology Support Constituent Group
• facilitating the Virtual Worlds Hot Topic Discussion at the 2007 EDUCAUSE Annual Conference.
• selection as a Participating Representative for MSU


AJ authored the recently published ECAR Research Bulletin “Second Life: Reaching into the Virtual World for Real-world Learning.” With a Masters Degree in English, and having concentrated on Writing Studies, AJ’s thesis is titled "Culture, Access, Technology, and the Basic Writer".
