Andrew Clark was named Associate Chief Information Officer (CIO) / Chief Process Architect at Syracuse University (SU) in September 2008. Added to his Chief Process Architect responsibilities, he has responsibility for driving the understanding and use of Portfolio Management for the Central IT organization at SU. Andy came to SU when he was appointed Chief Process Architect in November 2000. In this role, he has responsibility for identifying, establishing, maintaining and optimizing enterprise processes across SU and establising a Project Management Office in order to support the University's mission. Andy is a senior-level Project/Quality Management/Process Improvement professional with experience leading and supporting organizational change. His experience, beginning in 1980, spans the educational, non-profit, consulting, financial, telecommunication, utility, hospital, pharmaceutical, medical device and defense industries. Andy received a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, Psychology and Sociology from Clarkson University and a Master of Science in Ergonomics from Tufts University. He also received an Executive Master of Public Administration degree and two Certificates of Advanced Studies in Information Techology Policy & Management, and Problem Analysis and Resolution of Conflict from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University. Andy is a senior member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and an ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality Auditor and Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB) Quality Management System (ISO 9000) Auditor. The Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics also certifies Andy as a professional ergonomist.
