About MeMy BioKaren L. Goldstein, was appointed Vice President for Business and Finance at Davidson College on March 1, 2004. Prior to her arrival at Davidson, she was Vice President for Finance and Administration at the University of Puget Sound from August 2000 through February 2004. Prior to her arrival at Puget Sound, she was Chief Deputy Director, COO & CFO at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County where she was responsible for Education, Exhibits, Information Technology, Finance, and Administration as well as strategic planning process. From 1992 to 1995 she was Executive Vice President at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From 1975 to 1992 Dr. Goldstein held several academic and administrative positions at the University of Pennsylvania, with the ultimate focus on strategic planning, finance, and information technology. She holds a Ph.D. in French Literature from the University of Pennsylvania as well as an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in strategic planning and policy development.Dr. Goldstein has led many seminars and workshops on strategic planning and financial management and has lectured in graduate public administration at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. She spent a year as an American Council on Education Fellow at Princeton University. Dr. Goldstein enjoys ballroom dancing, international travel, and hiking with her husband, Ben, and her two children, Kristin and Todd. |
