Brandon LaBonte is currently serving as the assistant director of technology support, after serving a 3 year term as Academic Computing Services lead systems programmer. BrandonÂs technical expertise make him the perfect manager for the projects Solutions Development group undertakes. He is renowned for his vision and persistence in the IT industry, and an important fixture to the Information Technology Division at Texas Tech.
Brandon holds a bachelors degree in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University. His expertise lies in open source software, and he specializes in web application development using free tools such as Perl & PHP. He also has experience in administering most UNIX environments, including Linux, AIX, Solaris, and Tru 64, in addition to all current Windows platforms.
