Since 2002 Ethan Benatan has served as director of Computer User Services at Reed College in Portland, Oregon, where he is responsible for ensuring that the academic work of the college is appropriate supported by technology. He previously worked at Duquesne University, the University of Pittsburgh, and Brookhaven National Laboratory.
Ethan has presented at meetings of ACM/SIGUCCS, NWACC, and CLAC. He served on the EDUCAUSE 20/20 ad hoc advisory panel and the ACM/SIGUCCS board, and was a fellow of the Frye Institute in 2006. Ethan serves on the program committee for the EDUCAUSE 2008 Annual Conference and as faculty at the EDUCAUSE Institute Management Program.
Ethan received his Ph.D. in computational biology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1999.
