I hope this email finds you well and trust that several of you have had some opportunity to find time to relax and recuperate this summer.
This Wednesday on July 26th, at 9AM PT / 12PM ET, we will welcome Emily Meanwell (Clinical Associate Professor, Sociology), Philip Berg (System Analyst/Programmer), and Alan Walsh (Principal Analyst, Research Data Services) from Indiana University to present on "Automated Transcription for Social Science Researchers". The description of their presentation is below
Social science researchers frequently need audio recordings transcribed for analysis. However, third-party software and services often present both technical and security challenges. In this session, we will discuss the motivation and the technical implementation of the Automated Transcription Service (ATS). This simple and 100% serverless solution leverages cloud machine learning (ML) APIs and other cloud services to provide convenient and secure transcription capabilities for social scientists.
As a reminder, CCCG holds monthly meetings on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 9AM PT / 12PM ET
