  • Apply for YPAC/YPCG Co-lead!

The EDUCAUSE Young Professionals Advisory Committee (YPAC) is currently accepting applications for dedicated young professionals interested in serving as a member of the advisory committee. Institutional and non-profit members are eligible to apply and can submit their applications on EDUCAUSE Connect by November 8. Application also includes an option to apply for both YPAC membership and the Young Professionals Community Group (YPCG) Co-Lead position.YPAC and YPCG play a vital role in guiding the broader EDUCAUSE community on effectively supporting young professionals and fostering strong, collaborative workplace relationships. Each advisory committee member will typically serve a three-year term, collaborating closely with fellow committee members, other EDUCAUSE members, and EDUCAUSE leadership to ensure the EDUCAUSE community is meeting the needs of those early in their careers in higher education. This is an opportunity to shape the future of our community, to grow one's professional network, and to develop professionally alongside a diverse array of like-minded peers. Projects we've influenced in the past include:
    • Creating the Young Professionals Hub at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference, a dedicated space for networking, knowledge-sharing, and belonging.
    • Launching the EDUCAUSE Rising Voices podcast in collaboration with the EDUCAUSE Review team.
    • Encouraging more Young Professionals programming, proposals, and sessions at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference
As someone who has experienced the support and growth fostered by this committee firsthand, I can genuinely say that this role is incredibly rewarding. Being part of a team that champions the higher education young professional community has been an invaluable experience, from making impactful connections to providing insights and personal experiences that help improve the higher education workplace. I encourage anyone who is interested in serving on this advisory committee to consider applying today. You can also review a video from the current YPAC Chair and Rising Star Award winner Leslie Mojeiko to learn more about the open positions. If you're passionate about contributing to meaningful change and enhancing the professional journeys of your colleagues, I encourage you to apply and/or share this opportunity with your network!
