We're not using docking stations in classrooms, but all our offices use the Dell WD19 USB-C dock, plugged into Dell laptops running DisplayLink. I would think this approach would work in classrooms exactly the same way IF everyone using the docks was using a university-owned and -administered laptop. ...

+1 to Gaurav's comment about the Smart SP624. We replaced some older Dell 24" touchscreen monitors with these and the touch resolution is much better. The biggest payoff is when you pair them with Smart Notebook software/firmware/drivers and use them to whiteboard using the Text Pen (a stylus setting). ...
