I was working on adding DHCP option 114 via Infoblox. I did not have much luck. I am not sure where the issue was as I did get much time to troubleshoot it before being pulled into another project. Has anyone else had success with adding this option in Infoblox? Christina Klam Network Engineer Institute ...

ChuckThank you for the clarification. However, I believe you said the same thing as I but in a different way. Perhaps I was not clear and should wait until my coffee kicks in before writing. We have noticed that randomization happening more often than on "forget." When it switches SSID and gets a new ...

About this random MAC address workaround, it only works if the new MAC address does not have the unlucky combination. When they get the 888e, that user will occasionally not be able to connect and not know why. (Does anyone else have a slot machine gif in their head?). For this reason, we are telling ...

Gertjan,For clarification, are customers having issues with both eduroam and uva or just eduroam? I am asking because some of the settings are different,. OOC: What are you using as the WPA2+WPA3 Parameters? What are you using for Authentication Key Management? Christina Klam Network Engineer Institute for Advanced Study 1 Einstein Dr Princeton, NJ 08540 (m) +1 609-751-7899 (o) +1 609-734-8154 cklam@ias.edu

I second the WS-C3560CX-12PD-S. But, be aware that not ALL of ports can be used for POE. We have discovered that we can only connect 10 APs to the switch due to its power constraints. We use regular/indoor switches in our outside IDFs. While we are not as hot as long as NC, we have not had an issue with temperature tanking a switch. Now, bugs? Yep, they have shorted switches. But temperature? no. A Cisco Catalyst 9300, for example, can run between -40 to 158F (-40 to 70 C). Christina ...

Dennis,Monterey has been a headache for us. Because I did not have the ability to get the logs from the Monterey laptops, I do not know if the issues we saw are the same as you. For us, users were reporting periodic/cyclic drops in connections on our .1X network. I wrote up the suggested fix on our Common ...

I wonder if there is a power draw issue. What switches are these? Have you looked in the logs for power related events? Christina Klam Network Engineer Institute for Advanced Study 1 Einstein Dr Princeton, NJ 08540 (m) +1 609-751-7899 (o) +1 609-734-8154 cklam@ias.edu

I too would not want that space. As it is we have two 192.16.X.X Ranges that periodically gets blocked when someone mistypes the netmask in their bogon for 192.168.0.0. Over the years, we have created version of the same letter in half of a dozen languages. —Christina Sent from my iPhone

My co-worker, Marty VanWinkle, sent up the PIs for me. I can put anyone interested in contact with him. He knows the details better than I. For the code on the wipi, the project is here: https://github.com/theias/ias_check_wpa_supplicant The "entry point" is this: https://github.com/theias/ias_chec ...

We use a raspberry pi. We have a script on them to test joining eduroam and any other region specific SSID. We have used the pi to run iperf too. Christina Klam Network Engineer Institute for Advanced Study 1 Einstein Dr Princeton, NJ 08540 (m) +1 609-751-7899 (o) +1 609-734-8154 cklam@ias.edu

Hunter,Haha. In fact they do sell pink Cat6 cables. A friend runs an all-boys summer camp and bought neon pink cables thinking that they would (1) be easily identifiable and (2) less likely to walk.
