During the June EDUCAUSE Project Management Community Group meeting we discussed Agile Value # 3: Customer Collaboration over Contract Negotiation, then hosted special guest Linda Costas.

Linda Costas, a Senior Consultant and Lead Strategist for The True North Consulting Group, spoke about building a highly collaborative team through a deeper understanding of key communication styles. Linda provided tools and strategies that help teams gain more insight into what motivates each member, the ways in which different communication styles manifest during discussions, why it’s important to appreciate each style, and how to communicate in a manner that fosters safety and security.
