Hello everyone, I am running into an issue with our Simulation lab Laerdal mannequins require custom Bonjour(MDNS) services i.e. "_simbridge._tcp" in order for the mannequins to talk to each other properly. We have Aruba APs managed by Central and have created a group with all of those services, ...

Padma, Any issues connecting 9500X to Nexus in DC or buffering? Are you running OSPF on 9500? -- Brandon Curry | Network Administrator IIHusson University | Information TechnologyO 207-941-7618

Thanks everyone for the responses! For those of you who are considering the 9500X from Nexus are you going to VStack to replace your HSRP? Cameron, would you be up for a call in the next few days? Do you currently have a central core (hub and spoke) or do you have a distributed core (spine-leaf)?We try ...

Ian, Thank you. I will take a look at the 8325. Curious as to why they jump to HPE over Cisco? I am not against it as we have Aruba/HPE wireless with some switches sprinkled in here and there. -- Brandon Curry | Network Administrator IIHusson University | Information TechnologyO 207-941-7618

Good morning everyone! I am starting the process of finding suitable replacements for my core. Currently we have a pair Nexus 9k, and are looking to replace with either a new Nexus or Catalyst 9500X series. Specifically C9500X-60L4D. Looking for input on which road to go down from those that may have ...

Bob, Yes, we have tried DTLS and even spun up a testing IPSEC tunnel to see if that would make a difference and it did greatly improve performance, but it was still taking 10+ minutes to open those files. Admittedly I am still learning about how Stata works so working through that too. -- Brandon ...

Good afternoon, We have a few users who are using Stata and are starting to work from home. They are opening larger files 4Gb+ and taking a long time to open. We confirmed local ISP speeds are adequate and all other functions work ask expected. While our longer term solution is probably VDI with Stata ...

Thank you everyone for the responses. You have given me a lot to chew over. Probably looking to move to AOS 10 as it supports tunneling between AP and central. Since we don't have an aruba gateway and are all in central with Cisco switching that seems to be the "best" route for us at this time. -- ...

Thank you for the responses. Are any of you running cloud Aruba Central(Greenlake or whatever they are calling it this week) and would be willing to show me how you have it setup? -- Brandon Curry | Network Administrator IIHusson University | Information TechnologyO 207-941-7618

Hello everyone, We have been pruning vlans on trunk ports for a while, but as we utilize ClearPass more and more I find myself adding vlans to our WAP trunk interfaces on switches often. While this isn't' a hard process just tedious due to the volume of interfaces. Long term I think the answer ...

Thank Julian! We currently have an single OSPF area 0, but like a curious network admin I wanted to know what others are doing and if there are benefits from more areas because why troubleshoot one area when you you can troubleshoot more! haha. ------------------------------ Brandon Curry Network ...
