Hi all, I've been trying to find some info here about these proposed regulations. I remember last year in the IT Accessibility community, we had a few EDUCAUSE webinars and meetings to discuss the proposed regulations, our dissatisfaction with them, and then as a group, EDUCAUSE members submitted ...

I have been impressed with Equidox, but it's pretty expensive-I think we were quoted around $1k per user/license. One of the things I liked about Equidox is that it works well with very complicated tables, and can export to HTML. It's very user friendly. Charity Davenport Instructional Technology ...

Hi everyone! Our teaching and learning center has received a grant for a faculty mentoring program where we will be training students on how to evaluate and give constructive feedback on instructor's teaching practices. We are going to train them on things like TILT and UDL. Can anyone recommend any ...

Hi all, I used to use Metaverse by Go Meta ( no affiliation with Facebook) who just recently sunsetted their amazing AR tool that I loved so much. I was able to easily create a GPS based scavenger hunt tool for students to learn more about campus, and I made image trigger scavenger hunts for our ...

Thank you all for the resources. Lindsay, I just want to clarify that in the final ruling that the requirement to have materials remediated 5 business days after a student requests accommodations was not approved, correct? I remember that being a very hot point of contingent when we first heard ...

Yes! That's very helpful! I am planning to make an accessible alternative Word file but at the same time, just being able to have audio and text together is the most important thing for me. The thing about H5P though is it can have quizzes built in. sigh we'll see. I'll keep exploring! Charity Davenport ...

Sorry to revive an old thread but I'm trying to catch up on emails since it's almost the end of the semester! I'm thinking about working on a campus tour using 360 images, but I haven't found a perfect platform just of yet. I too am worried about Thinglink reaching the view cap and it doesn't do ...

Is it even possible to have accessible math equations in a PDF? I thought not, but I'd like to know if it is possible! Like Joshua said, HTML is your best bet. ------------------------------ Charity Davenport Instructional Technology Specialist (Accessibility) Pellissippi State Community College ...

I recently reached out to NotionAI for a VPAT and got this response: "We're actively working on improving Notion's accessibility for all users, but we know we still have some work to do. We do not currently have a VPAT and would need to know what you mean by screen-readers to make a comment on our ...

I agree that "the Metaverse" is still a kind of vague phrase now, and I will admit I'm a bit frustrated that it always seems to be associated with VR--as someone who can't be in virtual environments for an extended time, I don't see VR as "the answer." It is very easy to build your own "Metaverse"-esque ...

Hi all, I would like to access the hive mind here for some help! Like many higher ed institutions across the US, there is a lot of work to be done and no funding to do so, and ever-waning time and energy to work on initiatives without a tangible incentive. Is anyone aware of and could steer ...

Hi Margaret, Like many of us have mentioned here, I don't think it's easy at all to find any software that is 100% compliant. I think many of our institutions use an alternate plan model just in case. Many of them need updating as well. ------------------------------ Charity Davenport Instructional ...

Doug, I couldn't have said it better. I have also wondered why a database doesn't already exist that compiles the work of multiple universities. Our state system has one, but why not make it country-wide? Maybe we could all make one together? I feel like we are all reinventing the wheel... -- ...
