I should note that the problem showed up as users started returning to campus, which is exactly what we (VT, not Aruba) predicted. ------------------------------ Jonathan Waldrep Network Engineer Virginia Tech ------------------------------

Status update: we just lost v6 on a controller running 8.10.0.9. Uptime is 42 days. I've opened a new case with TAC. --Jonathan WaldrepNetwork EngineerNetwork Infrastructure and Services Virginia Tech

We have also had issues with IPv6 connectivity since upgrading to 8.10 in the spring. We haven't noticed the 25 day delay, but if I went back through our notes, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw something similar. Our workaround had been to bounce the link to the controller. We've since realized that ...

As I understand it: - Enable support for protected management frames - Do NOT enable 192 bit security - Disable WPA1 (if you still have it on for some reason) Then WPA2 and WPA3 clients/profiles will be able to connect without issue, eliminating the need for a new ESSID. So far, most (all major?) OSes default to randomizing the MAC address per ESSID. So once a wireless profile is created on the device, it keeps the same MAC address for that profile. What I'm not clear on is if you delete/forget the wireless profile and recreate it, if it will still have the same randomized ...

That has been my experience before, too. But it would be the first device that I've seen that defaults to a randomized MAC address _and_ cannot do dot1x. I was hoping that since Android does dot1x, hopefully the TV variant does, too. -- Jonathan Waldrep Network Engineer Network Infrastructure and Services ...

Virginia Tech has a long history of using IPv6. Our clients were fully dual stacked on 6.x. We upgraded to 8.x without any v6 issues that I remember. We did skip over 8.6, going form 8.5 to 8.7. I don't think there is anything specific to 8.x, but if like many of us, you setup 8.x as a new system and ...
