Someone updated our SharePoint home page, and we'd like to revert back to the delivered home page. I've tried going into the Version history and if I click on the original it looks good, but if I Restore and Publish that, it still appears as blank. Does anyone have any ideas? ...

One thing to consider on timing is that 1098-Ts are generated for the calendar year, so if a person is a student in January, and has some financial transactions from that time, a 1098-T will be produced the following January, and the SIS needs the SSN at that time. If the student provides an updated ...

I tried to join yesterday, and since no one else joined, I thought it had been canceled. Can you send the info for the next meeting? ------------------------------ Kevin Shalla Manager of Technology, Campus and Student Life University of Chicago ------------------------------

We have an intranet on Sitecore, and have knowledge bases in Service Now. The knowledge bases are mostly focused on students as customers and employees as customers. We have much of the documentation for staff of the Bursar's office in SharePoint, and are considering either making configuration changes ...

There are many questions you need to ask before selecting an SIS if you don't want to regret that decision later. Like mentioned above, a consultant is probably a good idea to help you understand what you're getting into. I've worked with SISes for over 35 years now, and heard many claims over that time ...

Tim, I think your question "where will this information be shown?" is the foundation of the entire project. Before entering the data, the students want to know how it will be used. Ideally the system would allow the student to choose where the pronouns / gender / sex would be used, so the student could ...

We use Bookings, but I see that as serving a customer who wants to schedule an appointment for a service rather than for polling for a meeting time. We use that for students to make appointments with certain administrative offices. I see Doodle as more of a meeting poll tool, where people try to agree ...

Tagging on to what Charlie said - even if you can find a standalone billing module, given the complexity and required interfaces it would probably be a huge amount of work to implement the stopgap system, so you might want to investigate what it would take to limp along on the existing system until you ...

Sandy, Given that your home-grown student billing system has complex business rules and interfaces with other systems, it would be helpful to know why you want to move away from it. I've worked for several universities and they all used purchased student systems that included student billing and financial ...

Kyle, That's not a silly question at all. We want to reduce the inventory of systems that our staff has to manage, and we hope to achieve that by moving to cloud storage.

We're formulating a file storage strategy for our office as we move away from a Windows file share and are struggling to agree on the best way to take advantage of the tools available to us, including Microsoft, Google and Box. For example, some like Box for its ease use, and ability to quickly set up ...

I receive digest email from both EDUCAUSE and from another organization HEUG, which both seem to share the same back-end. The individual reply EDUCAUSE links fail to do anything, while the HEUG links are quite useful. When I'm reading a HEUG digest and click on one of the numbered individual replies, ...

We use the same system we use for all our vaccination records - Point and Click. It's easy because we were already using it for the other ones.

I agree with Julie - I like email delivery. I have it set for daily digest; in it in the table of contents at the top the links to the main topics open the website, but the links to the individual replies are simply internal links that bring you to the top of the email digest - totally worthless. It ...
