Hi Chintan, We currently back up all our HP switches to a TFTP server (and also stored versioned copies in a SVN repository). However, we chose not to include keys/certs etc. If you want more info to be stored in the config (to make restoring a config to a different chassis easier), you might want ...

We're not using Clearpass, but not using ISE either - we're using RADIATOR on our RADIUS servers. Any RADIUS server should do to use MPSK/iPSK, as long as there is some way to configure that specific clients or client groups need to get specific attributes. Using these features on your network is ...

Daniel, One "hard" reason and a couple of "soft" factors: - The cost for the Arista solution was lower than equivalent Cisco or Juniper, but equally powerful - Arista comes across as more stable; the software seems better engineered (less technical debt) than with Cisco - The "access route" to ...

We (University of Twente, NL) have been using Arista for a cluster for several years now; rock solid. Recently, we finished the RFP and design process for replacing our whole DC network infrastructure (currently: Cisco Nexus in two DC locations) with a new spine/leaf design. The candidates were Cisco, ...

We migrated several years ago. If I remember correctly, we did the config ourselves. We had some days of training in advance though, and occasionally consulted an implementation support engineer to verify that we did things correctly. Part of the training was also on customizing the interface, so we ...

We moved from a home-grown DHCP/DNS/IPAM solution to Efficient IP Solidserver several years ago. Still very satisfied with that choice, it was the best commercial DDI solution for us. We also looked at InfoBlox, BlueCat and Men&Mice (and considered Stanford NetDB for a while, but our management demanded ...

Same here, we replaced our Cisco border routers with Juniper MX204 ~ 2 years ago and we use ACLs on them for stateless filtering. MX204 works fine with long ACLs and will process them at line rate. We currently have ~6500 ACL entries in the MX204s and they can take a lot more if needed. Regards, ...

That's an interesting find. Can you share the values that you're currently using for the various timers, and/or a link to the current Cisco recommended values? Regards, Jeroen van Ingen, Network Engineer University of Twente | Library, ICT Services & Archive (LISA) P.O.Box 217, 7500 AE Enschede, ...
