Does that mean had you not made the decision to move a year ago, you wouldn't feel as confident? -- Adam Forsyth Director of Network and Systems Information Technology ServicesP 563.387.1402 E forsytad@luther.eduW http://www.luther.edu

I just wish I knew the details I imagine they haven't completely figured out yet. Will it be like when HP bought Coloubris and the old RadioPorts and WESM got no further development and it was time to start the process of switching to the new MSM AP's (and to buy all new licenses and controllers and ...

So you're saying instead of clicking the trashcan icon in mm next to the AP that's now down because I've removed it from service, I'm supposed to log into the mm commandline and say clear gap-db ap-name and that's the proper way to delete AP's. I didn't know that was a thing, so, no i didn't do that. ...

We're on 8.10.0.7 on a cluster of 3 7220's with about 1100 AP's I've been noticing a few weird things lately that i haven't put my finger on yet. Tell me if you think they might sound similar to what you're experiencing. I'll find a ap that shows offline in the mobility master and go try to investigate ...

Tony, How far do you take the wireless first idea? Does that mean ethernet ports in offices are no longer active by default, and whether a workstation is a desktop or laptop it's wireless? Do you go so far as to make classroom podium computer or computer labs wireless too? -- Adam Forsyth Director ...

I see the About and Work & Education sections when I look at that with my non Admin account. I wonder why yours would be different from ours. -- Adam Forsyth Director of Network and Systems Information Technology ServicesP 563.387.1402 E forsytad@luther.eduW http://www.luther.edu

Dan, is this wide open network just for the personal devices of your faculty/staff and students? So then from this network you allow the same access to things you're hosting as you would allow from the internet? What about your college owned devices, are they on this network too, or are they still on ...

I didn't realize that was a setting we could control, my recollection was that its value was 30 days. I guess I missed noticing that they gave us the ability to change it at some point. Ours is set at 14 days. for everyone. -- Adam Forsyth Director of Network and Systems Information Technology ServicesP ...

I upgraded our cluster of 3 7220 controllers from 8.5.0.13 to 8.10.0.2 yesterday evening. There will be lighter than usual activity over the weekend, so the real test is to see what happens monday, but so far everything is looking good and i haven't spotted any problems.

The AP's being in the halls not the rooms explains the 5ghz signal strength being > -70 in many places. We used to have that situation, and did do two different ssid's. we left the main ssid supporting both bands and made a 5ghz only ssid, and then tried to spread the word, "if your device can see the ...

Why does Google so often get the steps backwards. The steps should be: 1.) Develop new thing. 2.) Develop control for Workspace Admins to turn it on and off. 3.) Tell Workspace Admins about the new thing and the control. 4.) Tell the users to ask their Admin to turn on the new thing. More often the ...

What does C Build mean? I notice people keep referring to it. Is that a newer build of 8.7.1.5 that has some patches installed on it, and C means it's the third time they've added patches, and for some reason they're not ready to call this 8.7.1.6 yet? Has anyone heard any word on how much longer before ...
