If I understand correctly, then I'd first run, not walk, to the librarians. They have a LOT of experience doing exactly this. If they aren't available, for journal articles, at least, I'd look at the journals' ratings. For podcasts/blogs, I'd try to find the author's bio to see their history. --- ...
