Happy to share our Marketing Cloud setup on a call if that is helpful along with our preference center which is not MC specific. I think that is an important point to note for scalability you may be limiting yourself if your preference center is tied to a single platform like MC. While MC is our only ...

All of our users go through university SSO with MFA. For our system admins we can use SSO or native SF authentication with MFA. We have this setup on the chance that our SSO provider goes down that system admins won't be locked out. For our integration users those are API only. On prem systems here have ...

Numbers four and five have been very helpful for us. We have core principles but the way we go about an implementation with Student Affairs vs the Office of Research may vary a bit based on the people and politics. ------------------------------ Brian Karcinski Salesforce Solution Architect University ...

We have our enterprise org and advancement is in the process of implementing UCI right now. We each have our own MC instance. Sharing one MC between two orgs will certainly be a bit of a challenge in various ways. Our plan in the future would be in our MDM a person has a GUID and on that person record ...

I would say with Salesforce it is a bit more unique than you may think at larger schools. Smaller schools are more likely to have advancement in the enterprise org but at larger schools advancement will often go with a company like Affinaquest or UCI. Both of those companies and their data models make ...

How are enterprise CRMs being used specially to enhance student outreach, and how effective has it been? Given the expense for adding another enterprise system, how have your institutions measured and derived value from these systems? These are a work in progress. Our Salesforce team provides reports ...

How are enterprise CRMs on your campuses dealing with data interoperability to ensure the right data gets in front of the right eyes? Salesforce is pretty flexible when it comes to showing the right data to the right people. It can add to technical debt though if you get really into the weeds. We ...

General overview of the CRM landscape and who uses the platform on your campuses. Are your student affairs groups involved with the platform? How or why not? The possible user base for our enterprise org is really anyone on campus. It started focused on applicants and students but we have shifted ...

UF is in the middle of a large project with UCI. The managed package is expansive and because of that they have their own org for it. We use Slate for undergraduate admission only with Salesforce for graduate and professional. Slate didn't seem ready to be used as a more enterprise tool years ago unless ...

I should have asked what objects you are talking about here as well. We have a public/read only model for our 1.1 million contacts and most of the EDA objects we populated are public/read only as well. We don't have to show our office of research users the program enrollment/course connections though ...

How schools have handled this is impacted by the culture and politics at your school in many cases. The general counsel office at a school also could view things very different than another school. We have had some things approved that I never would have thought would be allowed while other schools have ...

If you go here and filter on Education Cloud it is a decent starting point but to be honest I haven't heard of half of them. https://appexchange.salesforce.com/consulting/top. I would suggest whoever you talk with that you ask them for references at the schools they did a very similar project with that ...

EDA and NPSP in the same org? Ideally you want every MC subscriber ID to be their Salesforce Lead or Contact ID. So your only MC contacts are created via your Salesforce integration. This is a good thread to read for tips that happened recently. https://trailhead.salesforce.com/trailblazer-c ...

We have a team of eight for our enterprise org but just one is a developer. Another FTE spends about half his time on integrations. For us we would not have enough work for two developers. We use IBM tools for integrations that were already here at UF which lets us spend less time in it since there is ...

We let the units decide what they want to share with other units. Some universities are lucky enough to have a directive from top down on what will be open and shared with everyone. We have a public/read only Account/Contact model and just about all of our EDA objects are public/read only. Almost all ...

Sorry I missed. Some comments based on your list. Integrations are a crucial foundation. We struggled for a while until we figure that out. We have about 10 EDA objects populated via integration which adds up to around 10 million records. We are also brining in some other Peoplesoft records into custom ...

We have struggled to find one solution for this. We created the change of grade process in Salesforce and now we are doing the add/remove a minor in PS Campus Solutions. Docusign and Onbase have come up as options as well. It depends a lot on what your internal processes are for which tool as many could ...
