We have pretty distributed controllers, but are running a 2 node cluster for one location. Switch uptime is 225 days 17 hours 35 minutes 20 seconds Reboot Cause: Reboot by Upgrade Manager (other controller shows same) This is on 8.10.0.7, location isn't that large and only running ~100 ...

Is there a reason you are on 10.5 and not 10.4? Isn't the 10.4 train LSR and the 10.5 is SSR (initial release)? We lean toward the conservative approach, but understand using new codes in a limited fashion for testing.

Do you put your ClearPass servers under RFC1918 or global routable network spaces? If the servers are using RFC1918 addresses, how do they reach out to the Aruba cloud for periodic updates? Depending on which services you are using, you can manually download/upload the updates. Not ideal if you are profiling ...

It's unfortunate we cannot respond to an invite link. I plan to attend, these are topics we are actively discussing as we head into our next refresh cycle. Thank you for leading it.

We do 4 year issuance as well. Transitioning from PEAP to TLS was only painful for the first few months. Our staff was super helpful at getting clients educated. Most people complained about the extra steps to get on the WiFi. However, once we informed them that the device would be configured for 4 years ...

Safety conducted an audit for us: Monitoring was performed with an Extech Multi-Field EMF meter (EMF450). No readings were near the exposure limit of 20,000 mW/m2. Results of Electromagnetic Frequency Monitoring Power density (mW/m2) Area under AP 50 Laptop 0.5 - 1 AP was mounted ...

+1 for SecureW2 We initially used Clearpass Onboard, but updating was painful to keep up with OS changes. Those have settled down over the last year or so, but since we made the move I have been able to sleep more soundly. Moving from PEAP to EAP-TLS with onboarding upsets your clients at first; ...

This is a fantastic summary of a lot of information around standards. I think it is very worthy of preservation in an article or post.

We have retained older gear and ordered additional inventory to anticipate unknown projects. We have not received our FY refresh gear, but are told we can expect APs in May. The larger issue is our need of 5400 line cards, which have an insane lead time. This order was placed in October/November. ...

+1 to SecureW2 and their ability to keep up with OS updates. Had issues trying to maintain Clearpass Onboard updates to mirror client OS updates. We use private CAs for server and clients. Prior years we used InCommon and now that my validity is so long on server side I can rest easier. Since we provide ...
