Right now our strategy is to just keep trying to find new and compelling ways to convince publishers (often foreign publishers, ...

I don't see a problem sharing the University of TN Libraries contract language, since it is freely available on our website here https://libguides.utk.edu/CDM_ReadyReference/accessibility and which was modeled on the Library Accessibility Alliance's standardized license language available here htt ...

Hi Ellen, To piggyback off Doug's statements (which I fully agree with): when I score my vendors, I also always look for an accessibility statement on the website. This needs to include specifics about the work they have done and also a real promise of to assist if there is a need, not just consist ...

When our university library has requested VPAT documentation from British vendors in the past, we have been told that British companies use "accessibility statements" instead. It is my understanding that under UK law, it is true that public-sector bodies must publish an "Accessibility Statement" on their ...

Hello everyone! I am not at all a coder and neither are our vendors' customer service reps, so I'm wondering how best to provide feedback to them when I find that keyboard navigation on their website behaves very differently once a screen reader is activated (I test with JAWS, NVDA, and MacOS VoiceOver). ...

I appreciate all these good suggestions! I fully agree that a quality, in-depth VPAT is either a lot of work or a lot of money, which is why it is such a big hurdle for the mom and pop outfits (even if they already have a pretty accessible product). But as more and more universities demand VPATs, eventually ...

Hello all, Does anyone have any experience with relatively inexpensive VPAT preparation? I am concerned that the expense of obtaining accessibility documentation may become an big barrier for small vendors of niche library eresources who have maybe just a handful of paid staffers. I'd like to be able ...

Hello all, I've seen that as well ("We are not actively developing MathPlayer. Nevertheless...." https://info.wiris.com/mathplayer-info ) Not sure what the other options are if or when MathPlayer is no longer operational. That's the only way I know to get NVDA to read MathML.
