To be fair to Aruba, this AP315 issue has been published by Aruba for over a year.. To put this failure now completely on Aruba's shoulders, would be unfair.. On 12/19/23 2:34 PM, AMEL CALDWELL via EDUCAUSE Connect wrote: I was not going to comment on this, but this morning's antics got the ...

What version of 8.10, and what model APs seem most affected ? The new (8.10.0.9) addresses these issues with AP-500 series. On 12/11/23 8:30 AM, Jason Healy via EDUCAUSE Connect wrote: Good morning, this is a quick scream into the void in case someone can help. This summer we upgraded our ...

Anyone have any reports??? We just started seeing tickets come into our support center of erratic behavior on eduroam, where we run EAP-TLS, after upgrading to ios17. Searching turned up this reddit link https://www.reddit.com/r/ios/comments/16mulca/ios_17_and_8021x_tls_wifi/?rdt=49913

We had an issue like this and determined that the previous class was lingering outside of the lecture hall, still bound to the APs inside. It was obvious when one course section had the first time slot of the day and had no issues, but then the same course different section came in next, they could ...

We went from 8.10.0.6 to 8.10.0.7 because mDNS process was crashing and is suppose to be fixed in 8.10.0.7. We have a small % of AirPrint use so it's difficult to gauge if there's any impact over the Summer. On 7/17/23 10:01 AM, Ricardo Stella via EDUCAUSE Connect wrote: Has anyone posted about ...

Possibly a solution to look at, Nautibot https://www.networktocode.com/nautobot/ We have been impressed with their fork of netbox and ansible-like config push, etc. We have not yet signed on yet, but have demo'd and working on purchasing for further testing..

I know moving to EAP-TLS is a "good thing"(tm), but is there an overwhelming reason to shutdown username/password after a year or other time limit? We have been primary EAP-TLS for about 5 years, but still allow username/password as a fallback. We've thought about announcing the end of username/password, ...

Depending on your budget, support structure, and tolerance of risk, etc. my suggestion would be to look at a separate controller for supporting new hardware. The Hierarchical configuration structure makes it fairly simple, and you can size it smaller than usual as it would only be supporting new ...

I liken the AP-635 as an AP-505 (2x2) with 6GHz radios.. So depending on what channel widths you use, the 2x2 may limit those or simultaneous connections. The physical size is larger than the AP-515 but smaller than the AP-535. AP-635 does require minimum AOS of 8.9 and the (soon?) AP-655s will require ...

It could help if you have eduroam configured to also allow AnyRoam clients. https://www.anyroam.net/ They do need prior network connectivity to access the site and download the certificate, but it saves from dealing with guest licenses for known long-term visitors. On 2/10/22 9:29 AM, Kanan ...

What are the goals, to have clients (Students/Faculty/Staff) be able to test to 10G to verify bottlenecks ? We have a backup Comcast 10G link and Speedtest can select that comcast router, so for us, it's easy enough to point clients at for self-testing. (Yes, I did read your "other than speedtest" ...
