Hi Bob, Could you load the presentation files into a OneDrive folder and give individual file edit links to the appropriate people? That way when they make their edits from their offices last-minute, the updated file is right there in the OneDrive folder on the presentation PC. ------------------------------ ...

I have found success framing this subject around the Regular & Substantive Interaction requirements. If you look at what's required to fulfill RSI, it's generally good teaching. ------------------------------ James D'Annibale Director, Academic Technology Dickinson College ----------------------- ...

Hi Emily, Would you mind if I used the content on web-pages rather than within our LMS? I'd give attribution of course. ------------------------------ James D'Annibale Director, Academic Technology Dickinson College ------------------------------

Michael, is that 2M per year or do you mean that all of your hardware/labor is worth that much? ------------------------------ James D'Annibale Director, Academic Technology Dickinson College ------------------------------

I've had really good experience with this Artisul D22S monitor. We don't have them at my current school but we put them in all the classrooms at my last school and they work great. My helpdesk guy even used some high-strength fishing line to tether the pen to the podium so it wouldn't walk off. -- ...

Is it really only 5 dollars? I saw that and thought maybe it would add on a bunch of fees once I got to the payment screen. Has anyone on here registered to confirm the price? ------------------------------ James D'Annibale Director, Academic Technology Dickinson College ------------------------ ...

Hi Joe, At my previous school, we put absolutely everything, including the LMS, behind MFA. It was a requirement of our cybersecurity insurance company. I was there for the implementation. We did a lot of training sessions where people could come and we'd help them get set up. We had 5 people say they ...

Hi Tara, My wife does accessibility services at a university here in Pennsylvania. She has her students with that accommodation sign an agreement before they can record. I forget the exact wording, but it's essentially saying the recording is only for that student's use and will be deleted at the end ...

Macros apparently can't run while you're actively typing in a cell. As soon as I select a cell and start typing = the Macro isn't available. Good idea though. ------------------------------ James D'Annibale Director, Academic Technology Dickinson College ------------------------------

Thank you Sharon. I'll give that a try and see if it works. I'll have to think through how to set it up myself but then also how to teach him to do it when nobody else is around. ------------------------------ James D'Annibale Director, Academic Technology Dickinson College ------------------------ ...

Yes, he could just say "=Sheet3!B3+Sheet2!C4." He'd have to figure out what those cells are ahead of time and then remember them (because he doesn't have hands to make a note with a pen/paper). I personally used Dragon a few years ago for about 6 months due to an injury and it did everything I need ...

Thank you Sharon. That's the command we tried that ended up moving him off of he cell he was working with. When someone using a mouse clicks on the next worksheet, Excel keeps the original cell selected. When Dragon clicks on the next worksheet, it also seems to somehow deselect the cell we're working ...

I have a student using Dragon and we can't figure out how to get a certain type of formula into a cell in Excel. He needs to be able to reference cells in other worksheets (tabs at the bottom of Excel). So for example, if we had 3 worksheets named Sheet1, Sheet2, and Sheet3, we'd want to be able to enter ...

Hi Rachel, I was an office of one at my previous institution. I found it to be helpful to focus on faculty training and development. The more proficient the faculty are at the use of ed-tech, the less you have to support. So perhaps part of your long-term plan should be a curriculum of sorts for getting ...
