I have been CIO and Vice President of Harvey Mudd College since February 2008. Prior to that I was Director of the UCLA Center for Digital Humanities and Humanities CIO (2001-2008). Between 1994 and 2001 I managed multiple Humanities departments at UCLA and before that I owned and ran an English school in Madrid, Spain. I hold a B.A. (1985) in Philosophy and Psychology from Trinity College, Dublin and M.A. (1987) and C.Phil (1994) in Philosophy from UCLA. I was a Frye Leadership Institute Fellow in 2004 and 2005. I have served on the Educause Jane N. Ryland Fellowship Committee, the Educause Quarterly Editorial Board, the Educause IT Issues Committte, the Educause Annual Conference 2013 Program Committee and the Educause Nominations Committee (Chair 2017-2018). I served on the Board of Los Nettos 2008-2017. Even more than working at Harvey Mudd, I like hanging out with my wife Susan and our three children Aibhlin (15), Rowan (13) and Milo (12). And whenever there's time left from all that, I crew on racing sailboats.
